Compared to other countries and times, women in Germany are doing relatively well today. However, gender equality remains a challenge. Studies show that 45% of men in Germany (2024) feel disadvantaged by the progress women have made.Sexual harassment and violence against women are still widespread: two-thirds of women report experiencing sexual harassment, and one in three women face sexual and/or physical violence. For example, a study at this year’s Oktoberfest found that 76% of female servers had experienced sexual harassment at work.To raise awareness of these ongoing issues, a platform is being created to provide information, support, and ways to take action. The project is in German and a Prototyp.
